PHBA Families, Gear Swap is back! Last year’s event was a massive success! Thanks to the generosity of our PHBA community, we helped hundreds of PHBA families get geared up for the season at little to no cost, kept mountains of equipment out of landfills, and made sure every kid in our community had what they needed to play with confidence. We’re thrilled to bring it back even bigger this season!

And with the holidays around the corner, this is the perfect time to clean out old gear before Santa shows up with the shiny new stuff. If you’ve got gently used baseball or softball equipment collecting dust, let’s give it a second life on the field.

Event Details

Date: Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at 9am

Where: Pleasant Oaks Park, Pleasant Hill, outside of PHBA Conference Room

How Gear Swap Works

Trade in your used but usable gear for someone else’s used but usable gear. It’s that easy. We’re collecting gear now through event day.

What We Accept

  • Bats
  • Gloves
  • Helmets
  • Catcher’s gear
  • Pants, belts, cleats
  • Gear bags, and more!

Drop-Off Locations

Pleasant Hill (Gregory Gardens): 1954 Alvina Dr

Pleasant Hill (Poet’s Corner): 220 Keats Circle

Martinez: 2140 Elderwood Dr

Just drop your gear in the bin and take one green ticket per item (max 5 tickets per registered player, regardless of how many items you donate). Use your green tickets to pick up “new-to-you” gear at the event on January 24th.

Don’t have any gear to donate? Then you can still participate by paying $5/item or 5 items for $20.

Spread the word! Please share this announcement with friends, neighbors, and on social media. The more gear we collect, the more families we can support. Thank you for helping us keep this great tradition going and for making a real difference in our community.

If you have any questions, please reach out to our event coordinator, Peddy Khatami, at pkhatami@phba.org. Let’s make this year’s Gear Swap the best one yet!
