Managers & Coaches

we believe in the power of great preparation and positive coaching!

Each team is assigned one manager and two coaches. Additional assistant coaches may participate, but only the manager and two coaches qualify for fulfilling the League Service Hours (LSH) commitment.

Any adult interacting with players needs to be badged. If you plan on obtaining a badge, even if you do not plan on actively being on the field, you must complete badging requirements listed below:

1. register to coach via teamSnap

Register to manage, coach, or assist as a badged parent here. Be sure to register yourself, not your player for this part.

2. Attend a walk-thru (coaches/managers line)

All coaches must attend one walk-thru per season. It is a quick drop-in at the Pleasant Oaks Conference Room. Please be prepared to show an ID.

- Wednesday, 11/5/2025: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
- Saturday, 12/6/2025: 9:00am - 11:00am
- Saturday, 1/10/2026: 9:00am - 11:00am
- LAST CHANCE!: Wednesday, 1/21/2026 during Roster Night (Coaches/Managers/Badges Only)

3. PHBA VOLUNTEER FORM

All managers and coaches must complete and submit the PHBA Volunteer Google Form.

4. BACKGROUND CHECK WAIVER

NEW COACHES ONLY: Managers and coaches must complete the PHBA Background Check Waiver and email it as a PDF to Gary Brown.

NEW COACHES ONLY: Bring your completed PHBA DOJ form to finalize your DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting at the UPS Store at 25A Crescent Drive, Pleasant Hill at no cost to you. Be sure to scan your completed form AND your receipt with your DOJ number from the UPS Store and email them to Gary Brown.

6. PHBA coach clinics

All coaches attend at least two (2) different Coach Clinics from PHBA every year. For in-person clinics, be sure to sign-in legibly to receive credit for your attendance. For virtual clinics, be sure to use your own first and last name as the login name, as well as put your name in the chat. With the help of modern technology, we receive attendance data, including attendance minutes.

Please check the League Calendar and/or Coach Clinics page before heading to a clinic, as the schedule can change. New clinics are also added periodically. For any questions about clinics, please contact Clinics Commissioner, Rod Bassler at rodrickab@yahoo.com.

NOTE: PCA is NOT a Coach Clinic.

11. badge and/or sticker

A new badge is not necessary every year, but a new sticker is. If you require a new badge, please send a photo of yourself (photo where your face is visible) to Beverly Razook.

Once all requirements are met, a PHBA badge/sticker will be issued to each manager/coach which must be visibly worn at all games, practices, and when interacting with players.

ALL ADULTS interacting with players need to be badged/stickered, even if you do not plan on actively coaching. See the League Calendar for published badge & sticker pick-up dates. Wear your PHBA badge with pride!
