League Fees

These fees include a $20 per player Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park fee.

  • The cost for registration is $180.00 if paid before December 10.  A Late Registration fee of $20.00 will be added after December 10.
  • There is a $20 discount for additional siblings.
  • Payment methods include credit cards, PayPal, online check (bank transfer), Pay in person (Must come to a Walk Thru)
  • Refund policy:  PHBA reserves the right to refuse the return of the registration fee. No refunds after January 15, 2016, except for high school players.  For players accepted to a high school team, their Registration Fee less will be refunded if requested by February 15, 2015 and if stated/written on the registration form that they are trying out for a high school team.  Once a player has accepted a position on a PHBA traveling team, there will be NO REFUNDS.
     
Mandatory Walk Thru for Coaches and New Players
  • A parent or guardian of new players must attend one of the two scheduled Walk Thrus. 
    ​At these events, you will get a chance to meet the commissioners, sign up for volunteer opportunities and learn more about the upcoming 2017 season.

    • Saturday, January 7, 2017 - PHBA Conference Room/Snack Shack - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • A Walk Thru usually lasts 15-30 minutes. Kids are welcome to attend, but are not required.

New Players
  • New players must present a copy of the players birth certificate at the Walk Thru.  PHBA does not keep the copy, only verifies the birth date information is correct in the player's profile.
     
Upcoming Important Dates
  • January 7, 2017 - Evaluation Day - See Below for additional info & Final Walk Thru
  • February 4, 2017 - 1st Day of Practice!
  • March 4, 2017 - Opening Day Parade and First Games of the Season!
     
Player Evaluations
  • Except for Instructional and Intermediate leagues, Players NEW to PHBA or returning after 1 year absence MUST be evaluated.
  • Returning PHBA players do NOT need to be evaluated.
  • Evaluations will be held on January 7, 2016 at PO Fields, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. 
    • 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM – Boys & Girls Pioneer
    • 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM – Boys & Girls American
    • 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM – Boys & Girls National
    • 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM – Boys & Girls Western
  • ​Please bring mitt and cleats.  Bats and helmets will be available.
     

League Assistance Fund Fee (LAFF)/Volunteer Information
  • The LAFF program requires a League Volunteer Commitment of 4 hours per child (maximum of 8 hours for two or more children per family) along with a refundable fee of $200 per child (with a maximum of $400 for two or more children).  As part of Registration, all families will be required to agree to a LAFF Fee, separate from the Registration fee, for which PHBA will “HOLD” checks, cash, or credit card information for this commitment.
  • Following the completion of a league volunteer commitment and a signed off LAFF form (see Sign Off section below) or authorized sign-up sheet, PHBA will either clear the credit card hold from League Athletics, return or shred checks held, refund cash held, or shred or return manual credit card receipts held.
  • If volunteer assignments are not completed, checks held will be deposited, cash held will not be refunded, all credit cards on hold with League Athletics or any manual credit card receipts will be charged by PHBA on June 1, 2017, “NO EXCEPTIONS”.  A $ 25.00 service fee will be assessed for all returned credit card charges or checks deposited.

** NEW ** Team Umpire Recruitment Incentive (TURI)

  • All Girls and Boys Intermediate, Pioneer, American, National, and Western teams are required to provide a volunteer team umpire or umpires to meet the team’s 16-game season commitment.
  • All families will be required to agree to a $40 TURI Fee per player, separate from the Registration fee, for which PHBA will “HOLD” checks, cash, or credit card information for this commitment.
  • This fee is a team fee on a per player basis to incentivize teams to provide a parent, or two parents, as the team’s volunteer umpire.
  • Releasing the hold for this fee will be dependent upon the team’s volunteer umpire successfully meeting the duties, responsibilities, and deadlines established by the Chief Umpire and Umpire Leadership Team.
  • There is not a buyout option for this commitment.
     
Refund Policy
  • PHBA reserves the right to refuse the return of the registration fee. No refunds after January 15, 2017, except for high school players. For players accepted to a high school team, their Registration Fee less will be refunded if requested by February 15, 2017 and if stated/written on the registration form that they are trying out for a high school team. Once a player has accepted a position on a PHBA traveling team, there will be NO REFUNDS.  Please complete the Refund Request form to get a refund for league fees.
